Orientational analysis and (re) design transport carrier HEMA Bakery
HEMA bakery is the supplier of daily fresh pastries for HEMA. Fluctuating demands in combination with the current transport carrier created a transport problem for them. To solve this problem, the process, stakeholders, user-interactions, product interactions, available solutions on the market and food safety regulations were analysed. The analysis resulted in a specific problem statement and requirements for a transport carrier usable in the context of HEMA Bakery.
The ideation process resulted into three solution directions. Due to time and test restrictions the decision was made to further develop the vertically split in have concept. However the nestable transport container system shows more potential for which it was recommended to test the ergonomic use of this concept.
