Bachelor Assignment

For the library of the University of Twente, a redesign for the hallway and the coffee corner is made. The redesigning consists of choosing materials and colors for walls, floors and ceilings and designing furniture and other elements. The redesign is based on two aspects, namely increasing the well-being of students and creating a calling card for the library. The well-being aspect is integrated by using nature elements in the design. Besides, the students will be seduced to go outside and experience the real nature. The nature will have a positive impact on the students for relaxing and recovering. Furthermore. students will be attracted to the library since the entrance became a calling card. This is done by making it a sleek design and by creating recognition, the materials and colors of the library are used in the design.
