When redesigning a casing for a handheld device, two aspects are of importance: usability and manufacturability. When looking at the usability, this means that it should be easy for the user to use and understand the device. Therefore, the handfeel of the device needs to be good. To achieve this, the front of the device has been made thicker to create a sturdy handfeel. Furthermore, the design of the casing has been kept minimalistic to prevent distractions which could possibly cause mistakes. If the user does an action with the device, feedback is given with lights. This makes the device also easier to understand for the user. Because a large quantity of the casing needs to be made, the decision has been made to injection mold the casing.
