Bachelor Assignment

During the bachelor assignment, a therapeutic device was designed and prototyped that researches and stimulates the mobility, senses, and communication through influences of colored light, sound, and vibration.

The assignment started with an analysis. With this analysis, a list of requirements could be realized. After that, the ideation phase started in which three concepts were chosen. One concept was further worked out in the detailing phase and created the final design for the prototyping phase.

The prototype is mainly build up out of MDF sheets. The light is produced with RGB LED strips that are cut to length and placed next to each other. The sound comes from an existing Bluetooth speaker, that is disassembled and re-arranged inside the middle compartment. The vibration is generated by vibration motors, each having a different weight to create three different frequencies.
