Conceptual design of a microfluidic-based platform for medical diagnosis

This goal of my assignment for Benchmark Electronics Almelo was to concretise their concept for a multifunctional medical analysis device based on microfluidic technology. In the thesis, the functions of the device were determined along with a system architecture and component overview. Next to this, the thesis presents a detailed preliminary requirements specification. Finally, a design language is presented for the device accompanied by renders and marketing material. The design was finalized by using iterative ideation techniques with the input of a user test and final design review. The results are to be used for marketing purposes by Benchmark and for the continued development of the platform.
