Optical and fluorescence analysis in a microfluidic-based platform for medical diagnosis

In this project it is investigated how fluorescence and optical analysis can be enabled in a microfluidic-based platform. The focus was on investigating both analysis methods, how they work and what materials are needed. Research was done on the wishes of the users and the developing company. This research is turned into design proposals, which are optimized and validated with further research, interviews and a MATLAB simulation. The final design proposals are turned into 3D models for final visualization and integration of the two methods into the outer design of the current platform design.
