NEDCON is a company that designs warehouse racking and racking protectors. These protectors are meant to ensure that the load-carrying structure of the racking does not collapse when a heavy forklift accidentally collides  with the racking. The Stiffener is one of the products that is sold in this product category. Being a slender, V-shaped steel profile, the Stiffener is mounted directly onto the racking and aims to mitigate impact forces. The redesign of the Stiffener was centered around improving its ease of installation and ease of removal. Through an extensive design process of developing multiple concepts and testing high-fidelity prototypes, a redesign was created that requires less time and effort to install and remove, while fulfilling the same duties as the original Stiffener.
