Bachelor Assignment

The goal was to design a captivating, yet efficient way to inform people about an Internet of Things bridge in the smart city of Amsterdam. MX3D 3D printed a bridge out of stainless steel that measures the behaviour of the bridge and its surrounding through a sensor network. To inform people about the sensors that collect personal data a design has been created that consists of a sign and interactive lights on the bridge. With the bridge being placed in the Red Light District, many people will walk over it not only during the day, but also during night-time. The lights will brighten where a person is positioned on the bridge to create awareness of sensors when the signs are less visible.
