The future of secondary packaging in e-commerce - A forecasting method to aid in designing solutions for future challenges
At: University of Twente
In this thesis, it has been investigated how forecasting can be used in designing solutions for future challenges in the scope of secondary packaging for e-commerce. As a result, a forecasting method has been designed that facilitates exploring the future and use the insights obtained to aid or prepare the design of secondary packaging solutions in e-commerce for future challenges. The method designed is visualized through the Bullet Train Model Canvas, that guides the user through the forecasting process. Next to its application in secondary packaging for e-commerce, the forecasting method proposes applications beyond this field, as forecasting can provide aid in making design-decisions by translating abstract imaginations of the future into concrete scenarios and strategy paths.
