As diabetics have many ailments pertaining to their feet, Thomas de Windt has created Procs: A foot protector that manages pressures such that wounds as well as further deterioration of the feet are prevented. As the current production process is manual and very labor-intensive, this assignment aims to provides insights into a new production process that uses scanning as well as additive manufacturing. To reach the final goal of a prototype, analyses have been made towards Procs themselves, scanning, and additive manufacturing. The gained knowledge is incorporated into a starting point for a new design of Procs.
