Arapaha has the vision to redesign and replace household products with a fully recyclable bioplastic version. They want to change the view on how we consume products and materials. To their line of products they will now add a fully recyclable meeting room chair, entirely made from PLA. As an attempt to change the view on how an office will use products. The final design is a simplistic chair which has a rounded and cosy feel to it. A unique characteristic was added to provide the chair with a recognizable feature. Strength calculations have been performed on a digital model of the finalized chair. These analyses identified the weak spots of the chair. Providing information on the maximum stress, displacement, and strain in situations that will occur.
