Bachelor Assignment

The Slides are a product that was introduced by the company Wood&Washi a couple of years ago. The product is quite original, it looks like a regular venetian blinds product, but much cleaner, without any added wires. These aren’t necessary because all of the slats in the Slides can be angled individually, by simply pushing them in the right direction. Due to the problems that exist with the current product, it cannot be rolled out completely. The project focuses on redesigning the Slides in such a way that these problems are eliminated. The redesigned Slides are much easier to assemble, without sore fingers and danger of components being assembled the wrong way. The product can be suspended and set in depth using redesigned supports, and it can be cleared from the window using a new system.
