Designing a wheelchairs tray tablet mount for people with multiple disabilities

In this assignment, it was recognized that people in a wheelchair with motor impairment have the need of a tablet mount that securely fixes a tablet on a wheelchair tray, in a suitable position.
After analyzing numerous factors, a concept was created for a tablet mount that precisely meets the needs and wishes of this target group.
The concept is a sturdy tablet mount that securely connects to the wheelchair tray by means of electromagnets. The advantages of this system are: (1) The position of the tablet is completely customizable when installing the mount, (2) the mount forms a rigid structure when the electromagnets are turned on, and (3) The mount is easily and quickly removable when the electromagnets are turned off.
