Redesigning the user interface of the Experience Suitcase to improve the user experience

At: Professorship of Client perspective in Support and Care at the University of applied sciences Windesheim in Almere

People with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) experience barriers to participate in society. These barriers are caused by the unawareness of others on how it is like to live with an ABI. The 'Ervaringskoffer', a clickable pdf, was developed to support conversations between people with and without ABI. By creating understanding and awareness, the position and participation of the person with ABI will be affected positively. Understanding is developed by letting other people experience ABI. This is provided in three ways; providing knowledge, sharing own personal stories, and assignments.

The scope of this bachelor assignment was to redesign the user interface of the 'Ervaringskoffer' to improve the user experience. In the final design, the 'Ervaringskoffer' was redesigned into a website with keeping in mind the (dis)abilities of people with an ABI.
