AI IMPLEMENTATION IN MANUFACTURING: AN APPROACH TOWARDS A VISUAL ROADMAP

This project developed a visual roadmap to guide companies like NTS in adopting artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly within manufacturing. The assignment focused on mapping both the opportunities and challenges of AI integration, emphasising a human-centred and context-sensitive approach. Using stakeholder input and literature review, the framework organises key considerations across three pillars: People, Technology, and Organisation. The result is an intuitive, flexible visual tool based on a construction site metaphor that helps companies identify priorities, align stakeholders, and plan actionable steps for AI adoption. Evaluation with company stakeholders confirmed the roadmap's clarity and relevance, highlighting its value for structured discussions and strategic planning. The approach is adaptable, making it useful for other organisations seeking responsible, sustainable AI integration.
