Bachelor Assignment

This thesis explores how the University of Twente can redesign office spaces in the Horst Complex to better support flexible work, including working partly from home. Through interviews, analysis of current spaces, and design thinking, the project maps the needs of different staff members and tests ideas for more effective layouts. The result is a clear and practical design concept for a "department hub": A flexible office space for a department that balances focus, collaboration, and accessibility. The design is tailored to academic work and aims to be both sustainable and ready for future use. The thesis delivers concrete input for the university's future workspace development and helps improve the daily working experience of researchers, teachers, and support staff.
