Bachelor Assignment

This research focused on designing a valuable product for Dimence Groep using the shredded meal trays as input material. Dimence Groep is a health care institution that specialises in mental care. Dimence Groep wished to improve its sustainability by producing new products using the trays, which involved shredding them into tiny flakes and then using injection moulding to reshape them into new products. The production will be done with the help of patients. The outcome of the assignment is a herb plant pot that will be stationed inside the buildings of Dimence Groep. The pots will be connectable to each other, and so they will become a modular system. It will increase the greenery inside the company's buildings and promote circular use of ingredients, as herbs can be locally sourced.
