Bachelor Assignment

The Ons suite is administrative software designed for the healthcare sector. The aim of the assignment is to propose how the search function within this software should be expanded in the following 5 years.

It is proposed to expand the search function with more categories, including category dependent data. Furthermore, the relevancy of results can be improved by including semantically similar results and analysing the search behaviour of users. The most relevant items should be shown directly when opening the search function, to increase efficiency and intuitiveness.

The expansions make it possible to increase the amount of data findable through the search function. This supports the healthcare workers: it saves time, and it reduces cognitive strain.
