The Netherlands market leader in grass concrete products, Morssinkhof Groep, searches for innovative grass concrete solutions. The research aimed to create a new grass concrete product which would differentiate itself from current market options through enhanced aesthetic appeal. The sustainable pavement system known as grass concrete seeks to mitigate the problem of stormwater management and the heat island effect by integrating vegetation into its structure. The systematic pattern-generation methodology led to the development of 5 concepts which were 3D printed for testing key properties. Additionally, technical drawings of the product were realized for future development. The findings from this process enable the company to establish a basis for developing upcoming products that unite operational capabilities with environmental sustainability and attractive design.
