Bachelor Assignment

The goal of this project is to design a new tent model for an existing folding trailer, promoting sustainability by refurbishing rather than replacing trailers. The process is human-centered, incorporating target group feedback and academic research on sustainability and modular design. The project also explores new mechanisms, shapes, colors, and materials to enhance functionality while meeting stakeholder requirements. Beyond tent design, a deeper analysis examines why customers purchase folding trailers. Surveys gathered insights into their decision-making, which were summarized into key points influencing customer choices. This information helps future decisions without repeated consultations. The research also evaluates how a human-centered approach enhances the tent design process compared to alternative methods.
