Development of Multi Organ-on-Chip Device for Laboratory Use
At: Benchmark Electronics Inc.
Organ-on-chip is an emerging technology with the aim of recreating human physiological system outside of the body. This device is aimed for medicine research to enable pre-clinical tests for medicine absorption and excretion (ADME). It is part of the Nxtgen Biomed 03 - DEMO 2 project, a multi disciplinary consortium.
The assignment focused on the usability of such a device in the laboratory workspace. Such as:
- Compatibly with equipment
- Transport
- Workflow
- Efficiency
A device architecture and mock-up is created forming the basis for further development within the consortium. Forming a talk device and device to bounce of ideas.
