Working under the supervision of the CFM sustainability department of the university of Twente, I looked into the issue that the waste bins outside on campus ground are not used properly. Waste from incorrect waste flows is being thrown into the waste bins, thus contaminating the whole bag of waste, making it so that that bag is cant go through the waste disposal process designed for that waste flow. A informational banner was designed to inform the public about the correct type of waste that belongs to each waste bin. This banner was placed behind the waste bins and resulted in a slight increase in correct waste separation of 4%.
