Bachelor Assignment

The assignment was to redesign the traditional stairlift to create a more stimulating and user-friendly product for people who can no longer use stairs independently.

The redesigned stairlift will have the original rail and module, but offers various levels of support attachments, adapting to users' individual needs. It encourages users to do as much as they can on their own, while still providing necessary assistance. The concept includes a supportive bar for users who are still mobile, allowing them to walk behind it. Additionally, the chair has been redesigned with a focus on reducing material use and minimizing its presence on the staircase, making it less of an obstacle in the home environment and safer for others to walk the stairs.
