Bachelor Assignment

Through an iterative design process a front-end design prototype of a mobile application was developed and tested. This all-round application aims to aid Parkinson Patients in as much as possible with the challenges they face in their day to day lives. This support ranges from medication tracking to symptom tracking to exercise suggestions. A main feature of the application is the controls of the Parkinson Socks. This is a wearable that shows promise in diminishing one of Parkinson's most incapacitating symptoms Freezing of Gait. This is an involuntary halting of movement during walking tasks. Overall the prototype was well received during testing and confirms a user demand, which implies reason to continue development. Cooperation with similar projects in the future is seen as beneficial in creating an industry wide standardised platform.
