Forest living is a construction company. They have developed their own building blocks with which they built energy-efficient CO2-neutral modular houses in a quick and cheap way. For this thesis, a special building block has been developed that allows for the transitioning of technical installations, such as CAI, Telekom, freshwater, and electricity lines, with a focus on transitioning the plumbing and ventilation system through the house. This transit element provides enough space for the pipes and ducts to be concealed, while still being accessible for servicing and upholding its load-bearing capacity, thermal insulation, and acoustic insulation. The transit element is designed to fit within the Forest grid of building blocks to ensure a smooth integration.
