Design of a high wind-resistant Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)

At: Drone team twente, NovelT

This research aimed in designing a drone which can fly in high wind with the goal in increasing the operational ability of being deployed in the event of a humanitarian aid accounting for a windy scenario which could disable drones to fly after a certain wind magnitude. As a result, a tail sitter with stability adjustable UAV was designed, which would be able to fly at winds up to 40 km/h by adjusting its stability by translating its center of pressure along the fuselage.
