Electric vehicles are gaining popularity, but available literature about motorcycle electrification remains sparse. Commissioned by Twentlantis, a startup company at Airport Twente, the thesis concerns creating design guidelines for road-legal motorcycle electrification. The practical result of the thesis is a number of working components that allowed the client to carry out the electric conversion of a Ural CT sidecar motorcycle. Besides this, a partial Proof Of Concept showed that the guidelines have partially diminished the lack of knowledge, or literature, available on road-legal motorcycle electrification.
