In this assignment the message of Van Der Jeugd Architecten is researched and used to design a shelving unit series to expand their architectural business. Their message exists out of four pillars: Sustainable beauty, human centeredness, power through simplicity and being considerate of human and planet. Using this message and the design of a shelving unit they already made a new design of a customizable shelving unit is made.
The final design of the shelving unit is modular and customizable, which is made into a SolidWorks model. This shows that the design can be changed from a cube of 400x400 mm to a large bookshelf or a tv stand or anything in between. Everything is made of 8mm aluminium sheets, as the client requested.
