Plastic pollution is a massive problem and one of the most pressing environmental issues. The Recycled Plastic Brick helps to solve this problem by recycling plastic waste into a building material that can be used to build low-cost housing. However, the original brick was still too expensive in order for the brick to be a viable alternative building material.

The Recycled Plastic Brick has been redesigned to reduce the costs, amount of plastic used and to improve the production speed. The recycled plastic brick 2.0 has 34-37% lower costs, uses 25% less plastic and can be produced 2X as fast. The new brick could be a viable alternative building material in areas where standard building materials are imported, like on islands, if manufactured locally.
