Bachelor Assignment

DCW, 'Deze Combinatie Werkt' meaning 'this combination works', is a social development company in Enschede. Its textile department wants to expand by creating an original brand, and it intends to develop and sell an original range of items. The assignment to design three to five textile products that are innovative and/or sustainable and manufacturable by DCW was set up. Sustainability and emotion driven design, particularly designing for pride, was explored to incorporate DCW's pride in the products and convey the feeling to the customer. The results are five complete designs and prototypes with instructions that the employees of DCW can follow to make the products.
