Creating brand identity for the humanitarian engineering research group

At: UT-Humanitarian Engineering group

The Humanitarian Engineering research group wants to increase its impact, this is done by developing a brand identity. The target audience for this brand identity is students. By creating a strong brand identity, the research group seeks to increase student awareness, recognition, and engagement. A vision and mission statement are created, along with a list of values, beliefs, and keywords. The visual brand identity includes a logo for the Humanitarian Engineering research group and 3 symbols that each describe one of the domains the research group focuses on. These domains are Humanitarian aid engineering, Resilience engineering, and Responsible & sustainable entrepreneurship. All the designed brand identity is combined in an informational video. For the implementation and communication of the brand identity, a plan is created.
