Bachelor Assignment

The EduBox is an educational technology; it is a self-contained and modular learning environment designed to give underserved communities, such as refugees, the chance to still obtain a form of vocational education. Currently, the EduBox has been placed at the Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan, where it can be used as an educational infrastructure for vocational training for Syrian refugees. However, the Edubox is not being utilized by the refugees. Therefore, this thesis focuses on improving the perceived ease of use and usability of the Edubox to increase its utilisation.

Through the use of the Design thinking method, two solutions have been designed. The first design solution is a vocational programme to increase its perceived usability. The second design solution focuses on restructuring the refugee centre's organisational structure to increase its perceived ease of use.
