Dyslexia & Visual Thinking - Transforming Education Through Visuals

In this project, research was done into using visual thinking to transform educational materials for people with dyslexia. People with dyslexia experience difficulties surrounding written text because of the way they neurologically process information. They however, do tend to be great visual thinkers because of this neurological deviation. This is where visuals play an important solution for making educational materials more accessible for students with dyslexia while making use of their strengths. This resulted in the design of the Dyslexia Design Guideline. A set of instructions which can guide the process of translating text based educational materials into dyslexia friendly visual materials making use of visuals, and reducing written text.
