Bachelor Assignment

This bachelor thesis involves designing a modular sofa tailored to diverse living rooms, prioritizing user needs and a calm, Scandinavian design. Aimed at enhancing GUBI's furniture collection, the project introduces various configurations for adaptability. The basic modular unit can expand with additional modules, featuring adjustable backrests for functionality and comfort. Removable armrests offer customization. The backrest's circular ratchet mechanism allows height adjustments for optimal comfort. The sofa is inspired by a calm floating coral reef and embodies minimalist Scandinavian aesthetics.
