Designing a 3D interactive head for the Kapel van Verbeelding
For the Kapel van Verbeelding, a 3D interactive head was designed, together with a building plan to make this 3D head a reality. Kapel van Verbeelding is a museum in Maastricht about the philosophy of an artist, René Glaser. This philosophy is the mechanics of thoughts which is about how inspiration works. The senses, together with the brain, are realistically portrayed, while the rest of the head, consist of transparent blocks. When the brain, which is placed on top of the transparent blocks, opens a hologram will appear. The head has a camera in the neck, which detects if the visitors are walking by so that the eyes can follow the visitors. The mouth opens and will make a "kuch" sound to attract the attention of the visitor.
