This research focused on improving Nedap Ons for disability care. Nedap Ons is an electronic client dossier software application. To ensure seamless client care, communication should be optimised between the residential support workers and activity coordinators, with the latter being the biggest bottleneck. The research identified more specific challenges in information sharing and workflow efficiency through expert interviews and user research. The main outcome of this research was the Client Handover Hub (CHH). It is a new feature within Nedap Ons which improves accessibility to relevant information, enhances filtering and search functionalities, and integrates with existing Ons applications. Using a user-centred design approach, the user experience of the activity coordinators became more streamlined, potentially leading to improved quality of care. This project shows how important is to tailor healthcare technology to specific user needs in an increasingly digital world.
