Designing the chassis of an electric Brütsch Mopetta replica
At: 3P Pedalo Power Parts
The assignment involved designing the chassis for an electric replica of the Brütsch
Mopetta, a microcar from the 1950s. The goal was to create a modern chassis while preserving the original vehicle's aesthetics. The project followed a structured design approach, involving research, development, and prototyping. Using CAD
software like Solidworks, multiple parts were designed and tested through
simulations. Aprototype was built and evaluated for road performance. The final design included a main frame connected to a swingarm holding the motor and rear axle, with suspension for both the front and rear wheels. This chassis
contributes ot the development of a road-legal electric Brütsch Mopeta.
