Displaying Dynamic In-Car Route Information

Nowadays technology is making it possible that vehicles are exchanging data with the road and other vehicles, for instance current traffic information. Hence, road users receive an increasing level of dynamic route information. Dynamic route information helps the road user with his or her driving tasks.

In this bachelor assignment human factor guidelines for safe in car traffic information are studied and two concepts are tested in a driving simulator. The target of this research is to make the translation from guidelines on paper, to a human machine interface. In this research the human machine interface is a mobile phone application.
