Interactive surfaces, like interactive tables, has been a popular interest and desire of a broad public for a long time now. However, unlike other interactive technologies, these interactive tables have a long way from becoming part of our everyday lives. Research has shown that unpleasant user experiences (UX) are one of the potential causes. 100%FAT is the company I worked for that focusses on interactive products. With this assignment (improving the user experience of interactive tables) elements like adding technology have been researched to ultimately design a concept/list of requirements to improve the UX in these products and to make them more valuable. After brainstorming, developing, making prototypes and testing a significant improvement (positive) has occurred in the UX of the interactive table made by 100%FAT, Studio MAD and Recreate.
