Voetencentrum Wender has 64 podiatrist, working at 206 practice locations throughout the Netherlands. An extensive partner network enables them to deliver complete footcare. Next to that, research and innovation in healthcare and sports are important aspects of Voetencentrum Wender.

A lot of the patients are diabetics, who have an increased risk of developing foot ulcers. To prevent these ulcers, pressure areas need to be kept as low as possible. The currently used measuring instruments to evaluate the pressure areas however, only measure pressures at the bottom of the foot.

In this study the feasibility of developing a measuring system that evaluates the pressure around the complete foot is investigated, so that better fitting therapeutic soles and shoes for the prevention of diabetic ulcers are to be prescribed.
