Bachelor Assignment

The Lessonlab is a creative learning space for primary schoolchildren. Within this space, pupils are challenged to fulfil a complex assignment. Throughout their stay in the Lessonlab, pupils go through six design-oriented steps to come to a final design. By doing this, pupils come to a deeper understanding of the subject matter.

The space knows two distinct areas; the presentation area and the creative area. The two areas are separated by a low wall, obstructing teachers from entering the creative area. Within the presentation area teachers can give lectures and explain the different design-oriented steps. Once the pupils know what to do, they can move to the creative area to discuss the problem, explore the possibilities, generate ideas, propose a design, realise it and ultimately present their findings.
