Flevobike is involved in designing different types of bikes. They are specialized in the design of recumbents.

The assignment for this project was to install a new type of transmission in an existing design. This is a special electric transmission, using a dynamo and electric motors. The user drives the dynamo and with the help of software the electric motors are controlled at the wheels.

The design of this recumbent bike is meant for a project for Technasia (secondary schools specializing in technology). During this project the pupils will assemble the base of the Velocar and design and make the hood around the frame. Once the Velocar is built, the schools can compete against each other with the bicycle built by students.
