RiverCare monitors and researches consequences or river interventions that were executed in the Netherlands.

Research commissioned by RiverCare was carried to find which design principles are important when visualising a storyline: an online visual overview of a research pulication that shows the contribution of research into practice. These design principles were gathered in two sets of visualisation guidelines that help RiverCare researchers visualise their own storylines. To find these principles, storylines were analysed, workshops with target audience members were held, RiverCare researchers were interviewed and a new storyline was codesigned as a case study. Resulting design principles and insights were categorised and put into either general visualisation guidelines and specified RiverCare visualisation guidelines.
