Bachelor Assignment

To complete my bachelor, Industrial Design, I did this thesis assignment for Aermast and Bos Vlaggen. The main question is about finding a suitable technology to design a self-sustainable flagpole with lighting, the second question is then: How does my client implement this new product in their current portfolio.

The result of the thesis is a prototype which describes the possibility to implement a new product in the clients portfolio and which supports the answer to the question: is it possible to create a self-sustaining flagpole using renewable resources. The answer is yes, however when using solar energy the location is very important. In the Netherlands you'll need more surface area for solar panels than when in Dubai where the sun almost always shines.
