Bachelor Assignment

The Sheltersuit Foundation is a young and vibrant organization eager to make its mark in the world. By manufacturing the Sheltersuit, a wind- and waterproof coat, the foundation provides homeless with a warm shelter.

In this Bachelor Assignment, the possibility for Sheltersuit to enter the market with a consumer product has been examined. To boost the familiarity of the Sheltersuit brand the project focused on a co-production with one of their main partners: Nomad. From the perspective of this co-production, a modular backpack has been designed. The backpack consists of two parts which are made separately in the Nomad- and Sheltersuit factory and merged together to make one product. The design of the backpack focuses on the outdoor market due to Nomad's familiarity in this sector.
