Currently there are a lot of tambour door cabinets in offices, but due to digitization these are being used less and less. At the same time, the rise of flexible working means that employees no longer have their own desk, but they still have the need for personal storage. That’s why Ahrend wants to re-use the tambour door cabinets as a locker cabinet. With the goal to design a modular locker cabinet that uses recycled materials in the construction. Thanks to the horizontal orientation, the tambour door cabinets is optimally utilized, lockers are placed as individual columns and are interchangeable for different use cases. Because the base offers various options for the look and feel, the locker cabinet can be used closer to the workplaces without interrupting the office environment.
