The development of a product that motivates people with an intellectual disability to get in motion
At: Abrona
Abrona noticed that of their clients, people with an intellectual disability, move too little and are less motivated to get in motion. Therefore, Abrona drew up the assignment to design a product that motivates people with an intellectual disability to get in motion.
By means of an iterative process, at which human-centered design and participatory design is used, the Klittenwand is created. With this product people with an intellectual disability get in a creative and playful way in motion. The board is covered with conductive velcro so hexagons can be placed on it and can light up. In this way the users can create their own playfield. Several games can be played with the Klittenwand so there is something for everyone.
