Bachelor Assignment

This assignment was executed for Qlayers. Qlayers is a start-up that is developing technology to automatically apply coatings on large industrial surfaces. The system they developed to achieve this currently has a prototype enclosure. In order to bring the system to the market a new enclosure needed to be designed. This started by analyzing the current enclosure, the user and it’s environment. The layout of the system was reconfigured for optimization and easy Atex certification(directive for explosive atmospheres). With the newly created layout multiple concepts were created and validated. Through ideation the newly developed style was added to the concept and a final design was created. This design was elaborated for production and a CAD model was developed.
