Innovating Sealing System

At: Venster Techniek BV

This assignment was carried out at Venster Techniek in Zelhem. The aim of the assignment was to design an innovating sealing system for wooden doors to minimize leakage and temperature loss. It should however be feasible in terms of costs and profitability and be applicable for the open market.

The final design proposition is the Cooler concept, which is a feasible and relatively cheap way to enhance the functioning of a sealing system. A magnet strip is put inside the sealing strip and on the doorframe, to create an extra force. This will ensure that the connection between door and frame will be optimal. Existing products and techniques will be used to reduce the overall extra costs.
