Bachelor Assignment

Council of Coaches is an app to help older adults, people with Chronic Pain and people with Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 with their chronic conditions. This is done through coaching from a group of virtual characters. My assignment was to redesign the interface to better identify with older adults. The target group of Council of Coaches is very broad which makes it difficult to design for. Therefore, it was looked at how user segmentation or personalisation could be implemented. From a contextual inquiry was chosen to segment the group of older adults in four smaller groups and co-design was performed with people from one of these groups to create a concept with paper prototyping. This concept was later worked out and evaluated and later developed into a functional demonstrator.
